Kimberly Bryant, founder of Black Girls Code (BGC) and EPIC Advisor, sent her students to the Prague Congress Centre for the world’s biggest conference on blockchain and crypto. Ethereum’s foundation sponsored the developer’s conference – aptly known as Devcon, which sold out within minutes after going on sale in early September.
Bryant’s goal for BGC is “to increase the number of women of color in the digital space by empowering their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology.” More specifically, Bryant wants to train one million girls by 2040, in order to occupy highly specialized and competitive S.T.E.M positions.
The four-day conference started October 30, 2018. For more information on Kimberly Bryant and Black Girls Code visit www.BlackGirlsCode.com.
